Ingredients:

  • 1 lb skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Pat the salmon cubes completely dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, toss the salmon cubes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and sesame oil until well combined.
  4. Heat avocado oil in a 12-inch cast iron skillet or non-stick pan over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  5. Add salmon in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust forms.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and pour in the prepared honey-garlic mixture.
  7. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes until the sauce bubbles and thickens into a sticky glaze that clings to the fish.
