Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) 90% lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp (3g) garlic powder
- ½ tsp (3g) smoked paprika
- ½ tsp (3g) salt
- ¼ tsp (1g) black pepper
- 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 6 slices (170g) sharp cheddar cheese
- 12 thin slices of dill pickles
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 clove (5g) garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (2g) fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a 13x9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
- In a large bowl, combine lean ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Press the beef mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a flat rectangle.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until the beef is browned and fully cooked through.
- Carefully tilt the pan and use a paper towel to dab away any excess rendered fat from the surface of the meat.
- Slice the block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom slab.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls directly on top of the cooked beef slab.
- Lay cheddar cheese slices evenly across the meat, then top with pickle slices and the top half of the rolls.
- Whisk melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley together; brush the mixture generously over the top of the buns.
- Return the pan to the oven for 5–8 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Use a serrated knife to slice the assembly into 12 individual sliders.
