Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp Coarse Sea Salt or Kosher Salt (mixed with lime zest, for rim)
  • 1 large Lime wedge (for wetting rim)
  • 2 fl oz Premium Tequila (Blanco/Silver)
  • 1 fl oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1/4 fl oz Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1 tsp Agave Nectar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes (for shaking and serving)
  • 1 thin slice of lime (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Salt: On a small, flat plate, spread the coarse salt and lime zest mixture.
  2. Wet the Rim: Run a lime wedge around the outer edge of your chosen glass. Only wet the outer rim to prevent salt from falling into the drink.
  3. Salt the Glass: Gently invert the glass and press the wet rim into the salt mixture. Set the glass aside.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Pour the tequila, fresh lime juice, orange juice, and agave nectar into the cocktail shaker.
  5. Add Ice: Fill the shaker 3/4 full with ice cubes.
  6. Seal and Shake: Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the shaker is thoroughly frosted (this indicates perfect chilling).
  7. Fill the Glass: Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice cubes (if using a rocks glass) or serve straight up (if using a coupe).
  8. Strain: Using a strainer, carefully pour the chilled cocktail into the prepared glass.
  9. Garnish: Add a fresh lime slice or wheel to the rim. Serve immediately.
