Ingredients:
- 4 fl oz Blanco Tequila (100% Agave)
- 2 fl oz Fresh Lime Juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 fl oz Premium Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 5 fl oz Agave Nectar
- 3 cups Ice Cubes (Approx. 450 g)
- 2 Tbsp Coarse Sea Salt or Kosher Salt
- 1 unit Lime Wedge/Wheel (for rim and garnish)
Instructions:
- Prep the Glassware (The Salt Rim): Combine the coarse salt and optional lime zest on a shallow plate. Use a lime wedge to wet the outside edge of the glass rim, then dip the rim gently into the salt mixture until evenly coated. Set aside the glasses in the freezer while preparing the drink.
- Combine the Liquids: Accurately measure the Blanco Tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave nectar using a jigger. Pour all measured liquid ingredients into the body of the high-speed blender.
- Add and Blend the Ice: Add the 3 cups of ice cubes directly into the blender with the liquids. Secure the lid firmly. Start blending on a low setting, then quickly increase the speed to high. Blend continuously for 30–60 seconds, scraping down the sides if necessary, until the mixture is completely smooth, resembling a uniform, thick slush.
- Serve Immediately: Remove the prepped glasses from the freezer. Pour the frozen margarita mixture immediately into the chilled, salted glasses. Garnish each glass with a fresh lime wheel or wedge. Serve straight away.
