Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups warm water (355ml)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar (12g)
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast (7g)
  • 3.75 cups all-purpose flour (470g)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (30ml)
  • 1.5 tsp fine sea salt (9g)
  • 1 tbsp cornmeal (9g)

Instructions:

  1. In the bowl of your stand mixer (or a large bowl), whisk the warm water and sugar until dissolved. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add the olive oil, salt, and half of the flour. Using the dough hook (or a spoon), mix until combined.
