Ingredients:

  • 2 fl oz (60 ml) Premium Quality Vodka
  • 1 fl oz (30 ml) Lychee Liqueur (e.g., Soho)
  • 5 fl oz (15 ml) Lychee Syrup (from canned lychees)
  • 1 to 2 fresh or canned Lychees, for garnish
  • Large quantity of Ice

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Glassware: Place the martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes prior to mixing. Alternatively, fill the glass with ice and cold water and let it sit while you mix the drink. Discard the water just before straining.
  2. Prepare Garnish: Skewer 1-2 lychees and set aside.
  3. Measure Spirits: Using a jigger, pour the measured amounts of vodka, lychee liqueur, and lychee syrup directly into the cocktail shaker tin.
  4. Add Ice: Fill the shaker 2/3 full with high-quality, dense ice cubes. This is crucial for proper chilling and controlled dilution.
  5. Seal and Shake: Seal the shaker tightly. Shake vigorously and rapidly for a full 15–20 seconds, until the outside of the shaker tin is significantly icy.
  6. Strain: Empty the chilled martini glass. Pour the mixture through the cocktail strainer and simultaneously through a fine-mesh strainer (double strain) into the chilled glass. This ensures a perfectly clear, silken texture.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Place the lychee skewer into the glass and serve immediately.
