Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch fine sea salt
- 2 tablespoons mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Place all-purpose flour in a small microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the flour reaches an internal temperature of 166°F (74°C) to ensure safety. Sift the flour afterward to remove any heat-induced clumps.
- In a separate small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, packed brown sugar, granulated white sugar, sea salt, and vanilla extract. Use a fork to cream and whip the mixture vigorously until it is pale tan and fluffy.
- Add the heat-treated and sifted flour to the creamed butter mixture. Stir with the fork until the mixture resembles sandy crumbles.
- Add 1 teaspoon of milk and stir. If the dough remains too crumbly, add an additional teaspoon of milk until a cohesive, velvety dough forms.
- Gently fold in the mini semi-sweet chocolate chips and serve immediately.
