Ingredients:

  • 8 oz high-quality dark chocolate (60% cocoa solids or higher), chopped
  • 1 tsp refined coconut oil
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, firm with green leaves attached

Instructions:

  1. Wipe 1 lb of strawberries with a clean, lint free cloth. Ensure strawberries are at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before dipping. Pat every single berry with a paper towel, focusing on the area near the leaves.
  2. Chop the 8 oz dark chocolate into uniform, pea sized pieces. Place the chopped chocolate and 1 tsp refined coconut oil into your deep bowl.
  3. Microwave on 50% power for 30 seconds, then stir thoroughly. Continue heating in 15 second intervals, stirring vigorously between each, until the residual heat creates a silky pool.
  4. Hold a strawberry by its green leaves and submerge it 3/4 of the way into the chocolate. Lift the berry, let the excess drip off, and give it a gentle twirl until the coating stops running.
  5. Place the berry on parchment paper and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes until the surface looks matte and firm.
