Ingredients:
- 750 ml Dry Spanish Red Wine (Tempranillo or Rioja)
- 120 ml Spanish Brandy
- 60 ml Freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 Large organic oranges (one sliced into wheels, one juiced)
- 1 Large Granny Smith apple (cored and chopped into 1/2-inch chunks)
Instructions:
- Place the chopped apples, one sliced orange (from the two prepared), and the juice from the other orange into the bottom of a large glass pitcher. Use a muddler to firmly press the fruit for 45–60 seconds to release essential oils and juices.
- Pour the Spanish brandy and 60 ml of fresh orange juice over the muddled fruit foundation. Stir vigorously until any released fruit sugars are incorporated.
- Add the full bottle of dry red wine. Stir the mixture well to integrate the spirits and fruit juices.
- Allow the sangria to chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to let the flavors marry. When ready to serve, pour into ice-filled glasses.
