Ingredients:
- 60 ml (2 fl oz) Premium Vodka
- 30 ml (1 fl oz) Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 15 ml (½ fl oz) Simple Syrup (1:1 ratio)
- Ice (large, dense cubes preferred)
- 15 g (1 tbsp) Superfine Granulated Sugar (for the rim)
- 1 Lemon Wedge (for moistening the rim)
- 1 thin Lemon Twist or Wheel (for garnish)
- For Simple Syrup: 60 ml Filtered Water
- For Simple Syrup: 60 g Granulated Sugar
Instructions:
- Prepare the Syrup: Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool fully to room temperature.
- Chill and Prep the Glass: Place the martini glass in the freezer. Wet the rim of the chilled glass using the reserved lemon wedge. Dip the moistened rim into the dish of superfine sugar, rotating gently to achieve an even coating. Set aside.
- Combine and Shake: In the cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker fully with large, high-quality ice cubes. Seal and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the shaker is thoroughly frosted.
- Strain and Serve: Use a fine mesh sieve (double strain) to pour the liquid into the prepared, chilled glass. Garnish with a simple lemon twist or wheel. Serve immediately.
