Ingredients:

  • 12 fl oz (355 ml) Chilled Cola (e.g., Coca-Cola or Pepsi)
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) Cherry Syrup (e.g., Torani or Monin)
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) Coconut Creamer or Full-Fat Half & Half
  • 1 cup (~150g) Ice Cubes
  • 1 Maraschino Cherry (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Glass: Fill a tall glass generously with ice cubes. The glass should be about two-thirds full of ice.
  2. Add Flavouring: Pour the 1 Tbsp (15 ml) of cherry syrup directly over the ice.
  3. Introduce Acidity: Measure the 1 tsp (5 ml) of fresh lime juice and pour it into the glass.
  4. Pour the Foundation: Slowly pour the chilled Cola (355 ml) into the glass, leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space at the top. Pour slowly and slightly tilted against the side of the glass to preserve carbonation.
  5. Add the 'Dirty' Element: Gently drizzle the 2 Tbsp (30 ml) of coconut creamer (or half & half) over the top of the drink. This creates the signature marbled, 'dirty' look.
  6. Serve Immediately: Garnish with a maraschino cherry (if using). Instruct the drinker to give the soda a quick, gentle stir before sipping, ensuring the creamer is fully incorporated for the optimal creamy texture.
