Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 3/4 cup (150g) brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup (50g) maple syrup
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 tsp (2g) salt
- 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (85g) white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp (15g) red and green festive sprinkles
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until the mixture looks glossy and smooth.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula, stirring only until no streaks of flour remain.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet mini chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and festive sprinkles using a light hand.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough (approximately 1.5 tbsp per cookie) onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until edges are light mahogany brown.
